Voter Registration is a privilige given to United States Citizens only.
To register in Oklahoma, you must be:
- at least 18 years of age.
- a United States Citizen
- a resident of Oklahoma
- Not convicted of a felony until a period of time equal to the original judgement and sentence has expired.
- Not ajudged to be an incapacitated person.
- Not ajudged to be a partially incapacitated person prohibited from voting.
Registration forms are available at County Election Boards, post offices, tag agencies, libraries and many other public locations. You may also download the form from here. This is often the simplest way to change your registration.
You may not change your registration from June 1st through August 31st in any even numbered year. The last day you can change your party affiliation is before the closed period is May 31st and the first day you can change is September 1st. This is the day before the start of the no change period and the day after the no change period. You can mail the application to the State Election Board.
Oklahoma has a closed primary system. You may only vote in a primary for the party's candidates in primary and runoff primary elections.
